I just repaired my 61 300-G rear quarters using the classic to current rocker panels. They were very nice quality part, heavy gauge metal, nice sharp bends. I cut them down and fabricated the rounded end at the wheel well opening. -----Original Message----- From: Ronald Kurtz <mark6268@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: Brian and Kathy Frank <300gforce@xxxxxxxxx> Cc: chrysler300 <chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Fri, May 10, 2013 4:20 pm Subject: Re: [Chrysler300] '60 to '64 NROS Rocker Panel For Sale I have no idea whether or not the panel will fit a G. That's what reads on the label they placed on the inside of the panel. You have the photos and maybe you should send them to Don Verity, who is that model's year consultant for the club, to get his opinion. I take umbrage to your insinuation that I am gouging a fellow club member because I am asking $50 for a NROS rocker panel ("market will bear"), the opposite of which fit perfectly on my 1964. You don't know what I paid for these panels and your assumption that I am ripping you off for $25 is not only ludicrous but it is insulting as well. I recently gave away a complete '65 413 engine with a matching Torqueflite tranny to a member for no charge because I felt he could keep some MoPar alive with it. I recently sold a NOS crankshaft for a 300F for only $100, it was still in the original Chrysler box. Now that I am beginning to tear down my 300E, I am taking out a '64 300K 360hp engine complete with original carburator and air cleaner to replace it with the original engine. For you, it's $5,000, for other members who could use it to finish their restoration project, it will be free. I didn't see an outer rocker panel with a part # 095-124 like you list for a 1960-64 Chrysler. They have an outer rocker panel for a 1960-61 Chrysler 2-door which is part # 095-024 and for a 1960-61 Chrysler 4-door which is part # 095-044. I don't see your part # listed at all and I don't see outer rocker panels for the 1962-64 Chrysler. Are you sure your part will fit the 1961 Chrysler? (I see they list their trunk floor fitting 1960-64 Chrysler so I'm wondering why they wouldn't still do the same for the rocker panel.) I'm wondering if they determined there was a difference/change from 1960-61 and 1962-64. Perhaps I should call them and inquire. Their outer rocker panels are listing for $24.99 each side. Any reason yours is $50.00 other than what the market will bear? Has there been extra work done to make it fit better etc.? The photos look fine. I just need to make sure this will fit a 1961 Chrysler.
