Steve, Thanks for the clarification. Yes, from the interior picture, it looked like the tag was missing and drill holes were visible in the door jamb. It turns out that the VIN tag IS there where it belongs and the owner sent me a photo of it as well. Not sure why John thought it was missing, although it might have seemed like it from the interior shot from the passenger side of the car where there was a dark spot on the door jamb that might have led to that conclusion. I can verify all is proper there from the photo the owner sent me. The VIN is 8403126858. If this is not on the club list, we should add it. The owner is super nice from my conversation with him. He is not super knowledgeable about these cars nor does he claim to be a mechanic. He is a little older than me now (early 70s I recall) and decided he just wasn't likely to be able to restore it himself. It should be a fine project since it is pretty untouched except for the engine.
