Thanks for the heads up. We are going to Kearney tomorrow for the celebration--driving our all original 64 Imperial. Will look forward to seeing him and his 56. Had intended to take our 55 Windsor convertible which we bought in Kearney but was not to be apparently. We will look forward to seeing if any Mopars are coming from the west. -----Original Message----- From: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of cpaviper@xxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, June 29, 2013 9:57 PM To: Ray Melton Cc: chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx; Mark Oberman Subject: Re: [Chrysler300] Markings on radiator and heater hoses? Ray and Group, Coincidentally - This past Thursday evening I took a long ride out to the town of Franklin Grove, IL to see the caravan of vehicles touring the Lincoln Highway (U.S. Route 30) in celebration of its Centennial Anniversary. They're heading towards Kearney, Nebraska for a July 1 rendevous - East Coast and West Coast contingents. Th e only Chrysler was a stunning white over mint green '56 NYer Ne wport traveling westbound from Virginia Beach. I visited with the owner, Tony, admiring his NYer, and he admiring my 300. Tony showed me his radiator and heater hoses that were stamped by John Cote, with stamps John had fabricated. Now I don't know if the '56s and '57s had the same stampings, but I do have photos of the radiator hose and the heater hose stampings, which I'll be happy to forward . Th e '56 heater hose stamping , in yellow, reads DPCD 1063681; and the radiator hose stamping, in white, reads DPCD 1615493. Does anyone know what should be the correct markings on the radiator and heater hoses for a 1957 Chrysler 300C? Wayne Graefen’s book touched on the subject only briefly and inconclusively, and he was still researching the topic when he wrote his most recent (6th) edition about this time last year. I have seen the Year One repros for 1966 à MoPars, but they don’t list anything for the early 300’s.
