Hi Keith...my 65 "L" and 64 Newport both do the same. The Newport has a new tank and the "L" tank is original. I have learned to listen to the flow of the gas and shut off the pump when I hear the gas reach the top of the tank. This has been happening for 20 years now. 300 regards...George Ver Berkmoes ---- keboonstra <kboonstra@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Hi folks, > > This is a crazy thing I can't figure either a cause or a solution for. When I fill the gas tank on my C the automatic nozzle shutoff on the pump will not shut off. The problem is absolute and has happened at enough different stations that I know the problem has to be my car and not the pump. > > The only way I have found to control it is to literally put my ear to the flow and listen for the gas as it loads up the filler tube. Am I alone with this problem? BTW, the problem has remained even after switching from one new tank to another new one. > > Thanks. > > Keith Boonstra > ------------------------------------ To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to bob@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or go to http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Chrysler300/join and select the "Leave Group" button For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/search.htm#querylangYahoo!
