Avgas DID NOT CAUSE your exhaust manifold gasket failure. Of course, if you don't want to use avgas that's your choice. It's expensive. Had to replace exhaust manifold gaskets the next week. Didn't buy avgas a second time. Best I can do is drive 35 miles to get 93 octane corn gas--which is better than 91 corn gas.
