RE: [Chrysler300] Ballast Resistor

Are you sure it's a resistor attached to the coil bracket or is it a condenser? They are performing different operations.

Subject: [Chrysler300] Ballast Resistor

Hi Group,

I have a question about coils and ballast resistors.
My 300H has only the ballast resistor mounted on the firewall.
My 300 Sport has a ballast resistor mounted on the firewall and a resistor mounted on the coil bracket with it's wire attached to the distributor terminal on the coil.
Which is correct?
Does the Sport have "double coverage"?

Thanks,
Doug Warrener
