Hello Folks--I am trying to determine if the engine in my 300 F
(convertible) is original. Does anyone know how to tell that?
It is currently out of the car, which is undergoing a complete
restoration. It is a long ram motor, but beyond that I'm not sure what it
is.
I'm assuming there are numbers on the engine somewhere, but I haven't been
able to find them, so I would really appreciate knowing exactly where to look,
and how to interpret them once I do find them.
If the engine turns out to be not original, is there a way to determine
what year/car it would likely have been out of?
I tried searching the list server because I'm sure this has been answered
before, but I couldn't seem to find anything specific enough to help. Any
advice would be greatly appreciated.
