Re: [Chrysler300] C-300 & B wheels

A suggestion, If your going wrong, go all the way wrong. I put a set of #2243 Chrysler alloy rims from a 2004 300 Chrysler on my C-Body. They are 17" diameter 5 x 4 1/2 and with a nice set of radial tires (225x60x17) look's just Great to my eye. I also converted my car to Disc brakes front and rear, using all chrysler parts. Just a suggestion.

I've lost count of how many early 15" rims I probably let go over the years.  Now I'm having a heck of a time finding any.  I was thinking of going to 15" on my 57C, as the tires just don't seem to look 'right' as little 14's.  I know I'd have to change hubcaps.  Maybe a pair of road wheels similar to what is on my Hurst (just not gold painted or pin striped).

The Bolt diameter of 4 1/2 inches is not the only variable on the rims for your use. If all you want is to bolt up to your hubs, then OK. The 300 rim was a sturdier wheel, heavier gauge steel than the standard Saratoga and Windsor. They may also be slightly wider. The New Yorker had the same 5 x 4 1/2 inch
bolt pattern, and may also be of a heavier gauge steel. The early Imperial's had the 5 x 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Good luck.

I'm looking to purchase up to five steel rims for a C-300 or 300B.  I believe the rims were the same.  Specs are 15" diameter with 4 1/2" bolt pattern diameter.  Prior to '55 I believe that Saratogas and Windsors also had a 4 1/2" bolt pattern, which would work.  NY's and Imp's I believe were 5 1/2" diameter, ruling them out.

Many thanks.
