Hello everyone--A while back I posted an inquiry regarding the value of
having a correct block for my 300 F convertible. Based largely on the
preponderance of the very helpful opinions I received, I'm going to take a run
at finding one.
What I am looking for, then, is a block stamped P 41, with a date code
before my scheduled build date of May 16, 1960. Ideally, I would like to
find something two weeks to a couple of months earlier, but in any event if I'm
going to go through this process I would like the date to be before the
scheduled build date. I only need the block itself; I have everything
else.
If anyone has one for sale, or knows of a source, I would greatly
appreciate hearing, either by direct email to me or via the list server.
We live in north central Florida, so the closer to there the better, but I plan
to do whatever it takes regarding shipping. If you would like to discuss

Incidentally, several people kindly pointed out that my 1964 motor would
not work with a 1960 transmission without some modifications regarding the way
the transmission mounted. Don Verity is re-building the transmission, and
he has advised me that it is the correct one for 1960, so presumably the crank
in my '64 motor was changed to make it all work.
