Hi,

The sales brochure for 1957 shows a space as in 300 C.

The 1960 brochure shows a slash as in 300/F.

Getting a feeling anything goes.

Now this is a very interesting question.  Here is what I discovered.

 

My 1964 dealer showroom Facts Book and Trim Selector designates the letter car as "300K".  However, the sales brochures and magazine advertisement copy designates the letter car as "300-K".

 

In my humble opinion, I believe that either way is correct.  My "two cents" for what its worth.

Do letter car designations have hyphens?

I tried correcting it on the D section, but there it is again. I have never seen it with the hyphen except for this. I didn't check but have to presume all the letter years also have a hyphen.
