It was requested at the spring meet that I follow with the vendor who has recently acquired 13 sets of 1970’s vintage Raybestos 11x3” brake shoes. Craig Stanley, known as the Mobile Parts King 516-485-1935 is the guy who obtained this NORS
stock. Craig is known to many and is a fixture at car shows around the country, he is easily recognized with his Blue ford van and Long Island accent. He picked these up right before the spring Carlisle show from a distributor that had cleaned out his store
room, Craig was in the right place at the right time. I saw his trailer loaded with brake shoe boxes. He pulled out some of the ones he knew the application for, and I bought the only riveted set from him along with a bonded set. He also has GM, a few Studebaker
in varying sizes. As of this morning he has only 8 sets of Chrysler 11x3’s left and is willing to hold them for pick up at Carlisle or the Nationals if one were to call him directly. He is retailing them for 75 dollars a box but told me that will offer them
to our club members for 65 if you mention that you heard this from me and mention that you are a Chrysler 300 club member. I know you can buy 11x3’s much cheaper than that price from Rock Auto but these are genuine made in USA Asbestos material, not the Chinese
made whatever EPA approved stuff.
