Thanks for all the replies. I want to use the OEM transmission, 45RFE, I believe. It has a side mounted lever with pretty distinct detents. I was trying to envision some sort of solenoid or stepper motor that would shift it responding to electrical signals from a modified PB shifter. That could also include a separate button under the dash to put it in park. Bill Huff I have a De Soto I was planning on putting a Ram 5.7 3d gen Hemi into. I would dearly love to retain the push button shift while using the OD ;transmission. Has anyone given any thought to a way to shift electrically using a modified push button shifter?
