Hello All -- It may also have been my posting about the excellent job done by the Philbin Group last year. At my request, they provided a detailed "before and after" presentation of my 1957 300C's distributor curve, both with and without vacuum advance. They then separately corrected the mechanical and vacuum advance parts of the curve. They also replaced the distributor shaft bushings to eliminate "wobble" and installed a separately provided Pertronix Ignitor system (from John Lazenby), and sent it back with a nice new paint job and shined-up tag on the distributor. I can't think of how to improve upon that service! As I recall, the cost at Philbin was ~ $160.00. I have not run it yet, but I am totally confident that everything will be right; and if not, that they will bend over backwards to make it right!
