Re: [Chrysler300] Tires and pedals

I didn't try to start a story time here but since we are already there you all may enjoy this read.  It is not Letter Car related but does apply to one of my great interest that I've spent a lot of time researching over the years.  I'll let you read for yourself and in this instance it did have a positive ending for me.  Should you have no interest it is easy to push the "delete button"........

An update on this story is that in 2012 I was able to access the basement of the Petersen Museum (the vault) and have a one on one with the Detroit (White House) example.  IMO it is far more correct and overall better condition than the Los Angeles example.  So that only leave the New York car and I've come full circle.

If you read more on these cars I think you could agree that the New York example has to be the most famous automobile ever to carry famous people.  It is truly an American Icon.

Guys,
I have enjoyed reading about other’s experiences at shows with “experts” or others.  Always fun to see how uninformed some are.  Years ago at the Dubuque, IA MoPars on the Mississippi show, I had an older gentleman say he had a care “just like mine” many years ago.  Then in further talks, turns out it was a Ford of some kind and not a 300-K.  Oh, and his didn’t have bucket seats, or a console, etc.  Still it was “just like mine!”  Regardless, he was enjoying himself and his memories.  I hope his car was at least in the 1964 era, and he could relive some of his younger days.
I have experienced a few “experts” out there who know it all and are totally sure of themselves.  It doesn’t matter if their facts don’t match reality—you obviously are wrong in their eyes and won’t change it.  It bothers me very little.
