Hello Fellow Club members, I am formally announcing the 1964 Door Star Emblem reproduction project. Many of you have heard about this project and several of you were very instrumental in their reproduction, and fabrication. It took a lot
of meetings with the vendor and the team to get these made and all told it was over two years of time went into this project. To the members that do not own a 64, these are the decals that go into the chrome bases on all the inside doors of the 64 300’s
just forward of the arm rest , this includes both the hard top and the convertible 300’s. To be more specific when you look at a 64, the parts we have made are the decals only, and not the chrome bases. These parts are similar to the 65 300 door emblems but
are not the same, and according to my data base these parts may also fit the speaker grill of some later non letter 300’s. The reproduction committee and club management selected the 64 model as it has the largest potential installed base and will be the first
of four projects that all use this same style of decal. Based on the interest, as determined by the club store sales of this project, it will determine if the other projects go forward. This is because the manufacturing costs will be same for the other projects
but the potential demand will be lower for those items and of course then the per unit costs go up. Pop over to the clubs website to see what these stars look like as delivered and to see them freshly installed on a door panel. Each pair of emblems will
be delivered to you inside special packaging from the club store along with detailed handling and installation instructions. I have also traveled to the Golden Lions Garage and with Bob Merritt’s directorial skills, we have videotaped an installation session
to assist you in the proper installation of these emblems on your panels. These emblems will be sold only to club members and retail in the states for 35.00, including shipping. We had to add some additional costs for packaging and handling as these parts
are thin aluminum and can be damaged quite easily until they are installed. They will ship with detailed instructions and I encourage you to ask me any questions about them. They will also be featured in an upcoming issue of Enews and Andy’s printed Club
news. It takes a lot of time and effort to put these together and convert the older ones
in to a digital format. So when you watch these video’s hit the “Like Button” right below the number of views. I am sure a lot of you have not seen the older videos in some time, and I find it is fun to look at what you all looked like back in the day!
