[Chrysler300] 64 lower inner fender pieces

Good Evening all,

On the 64 , attached to both sides of the lower inner fenders are metal splash deflector.

They are attached with three of 7/16 bolts.

They seem to be galvanized/ plated.  Is it correct to clean and apply coating to these pieces?
