Hi All, I suspect that after I had my 413 and Torqueflite rebuilt, the person that reinstalled the transmission may not have torqued the mount bolt sufficiently. When the 300 was recently on the lift, the spring between the transmission mount and the transmission seemed to be extended a few inches. When the mechanic lifted the end of the transmission, there seemed to be almost 3+ inches of vertical movement. This seemed excessive to me. On a side note, I am still having a problem with stalling as I slow down and take a sharp right turn. What I think may be happening is the engine/transmission may be moving/tilting in such a way to affect the throttle linkage position? Tell me I am crazy, but that’s what I need to investigate. What is the spec to tighten the transmission mount bolt? Once I do that properly, I will know more. I checked the shop manual, but I could not find it. Thanks for all ideas. 300ly, Mark Lindahl ’63 300 Conv. w/413 __._,_.___ Posted by: "Mark Lindahl" <mplindahl@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to bob@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or go to https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/all/manage/edit For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/search.htm#querylang __,_._,___ |
