This H is going through the auction circuit and sadly, like so many others,
the price escalates. It sold at the Mecum Rogers Collection auction in
Feb. for $47,000 (a bargain, perhaps?). The buyer evidently jettisoned the
correct H wheels/wheelcovers that it had in the Feb auction and installed
incorrect repop wire wheels (N/A for ‘62 obviously) and ran the car
through the Mecum Seattle auction just this month where it was a no sale at
$72,500. Funny how making the car more incorrect raised the value
LOL. What did P.T. Barnum say? Well, he is known for a few quotes
and more than one may apply here. Looks to me like this
“flipper” is going for a ludicrous profit, but he/she has every right to do
so. Onward and upward!

I think that "Yikes" is an appropriate
response.
I was taken aback when I read that
number as well!
I have an H Hardtop to
restore. I know once restored it won't bring half of that (although not
planning to sell it).
I also like how the ad reads
that the Interior is Tan, yet the pictures show a nice shade of green.
