Val, I just had my G clock out for repairs. You do not have to remove the glove box, it won't help. Go through the speaker grill opening with a 1/4" nut driver. There are three 1/4" screws, one on the top, two on the bottom of the clock. Remove the top one first, it's easier than the bottom screws, in fact, don't remove the bottom screws, just loosen them. It's better that way because leaving them in place will make it easier to reinstall. When you reinstall, work the clock through the wire bundle until no wires are caught between the clock and the dash, this is important, and set the bottom of the clock on the two screws you loosened, but did not remove. Replace the one top screw and tighten. Get your nut driver under the clock and tighten the bottom screws, they don't need to be real tight, just snug them down to avoid rattles. Make sure you connect your wires properly. The white wire is the lighting, the power should be gray, but mark the terminals before you remove the connector so you know when you put it them back on. Its tight in there, but with a little patience you can do it. By the way, I used Instrument Services Company In IL, 800-558-2674, www.clocksandguages.com to repair mine back in 1999. When it began to act up 2 months ago, I removed it and sent it back to them. They checked it out and repaired it, and only charged me $23 for handling. I did have it converted to quartz movement back in 1999 by them, highly recommended. I have the radio out for repair and thought this would be a good time to remove the clock (that hasn't worked forever) and get it fixed. Ok here's the issue, I have the glove box liner out as well and there is a metal partition beside of the clock. Anyway, how do you access the 2 rear screws hoding it in place ? Appreciate any help !
