Others have responded correctly already and I would just add that the catalog exclusion of all K’s is just erroneous, but understandable. Probably just a carry-over from 1963 when the ram engine was in all J’s. The ’64 catalog exclusion should be more specific stating something like “except any K with 390 HP ram-inducted engine” ore somesuch. A similar situation may arise with suspension and rear brake parts. All ram cars had the HD suspension as part of the package. The HD suspension by itself was an available option on all 300’s, be they Sport or non-ram K’s. Caveat emptor. Be kind, but firm and knowledgeable, to the lady or gentleman hidden behind that huge parts manual on the counter—and/or the computer. Ignore their groans when you announce you want a part for an old MoPar. Keep calm and 300 on. Rich From: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of pffkllc@xxxxxxx [Chrysler300] Hi group: I need help with some confusing information I am running across. For reasons unknown at this juncture, Anne's K convert has a booster than does not go with the car and does not work (it is a Kelsey Hayes). In trying to find a correct booster, I keep running across boosters that are listed for '64 Chryslers "except K." Can anyone tell me why that would be (other than, perhaps, ram car applications). Can anyone give me a definitive answer as to the correct booster for a non-ram K? Your advice will be appreciated. I have to get this problem solved.
