My first question is why are you changing from a four speed car to an automatic? The four speed is (so I suspect) much more rare and valuable. Or does it happen to be just a 4 speed engine going in another car? Keeping the car a four speed is my first choice. That being said, if your going with the wrong transmission anyway, why not go all the way! Update to a Chrysler "Overdrive automatic", it will give you better fuel economy and cruisabilty at a much lower RPM. All pluses. Something to consider.

Can a 64 300 -727 be converted to a "slip in" drive shaft yoke and boot for a non 300 application?

And, will the 64 crank shaft flange mate to a flex plate, even though it was a 4 spd. engine?                 6 bolts on rear flange.
