Terry, as you probably know it is only the wattage you need worry about ( sets the Amps) and most halogen upgrades in seal beam are about the same wattage. Even 10% more ok I think . But wires are small on our cars . I do not remeber watts but you can look up . I think 35 . When originality not an issue , I add 2 automotive relays ( black cube ) on fender near battery , use old harness to feed only the pass light add new wires to drivers light and parallel those pairs at relay . Old wires from dash drive relay, with 30a fuse feed #12 to alternator main wire on firewall . I have been buying bulb type halogen from LMC truck -- when I do the relay , I think it is 50 watt instead of35 .. You have a choice of watts with those halogen loose bulbs. The LMC units are really good look sharp and take care of the blue headlight guys . They fit sealed beam mounting . But I did just do halogen sealed upgrade on one 78 Dodge truck . No relay .. 6" sealed beam . Surprised how good . I think Sylvania or Philips halogen bulbs . Lots of Chinese junk bulbs . If bulb is not visibly darkened , incandescent filament seal beam does not die down with time .. They were that dim . Hope this helps you ..
