Hi all:Years ago, decided to replace the grill emblem of my F with a new one. It seems like it took 2 men and a boy to remove the old one. So I decided on a method to install the new one so that I could remove it easily if need be. I took a piece of sheet metal, cut it to the shape of the emblem and pounded it to the spherical shape of the back side of the emblem. Next, I drilled two holes in the grill where the emblem would be mounted. I soldered two small bolts, with the heads ground down to almost nothing, so that the position of the bolts matched the ones I drilled in the grill. I then used JB Weld to mount the emblem to the metal I had fashioned. After the JB Weld had cured, I mounted the assembly to the grill. It's been there now for perhaps 15 years. The JB Weld has not damaged the backing of the emblem.Dan ReitzBell Canyon, CA
