Exactly why I wanted to find out what happened, in a forensic sense ..I agree 100% with you Don..never ever heard of that , that area very beefy. At first thought maybe drum backed itself off. But apparently had to replace the axle; need to know if in fact it “snapped” and where. From: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of dverity@xxxxxxxxxxx [Chrysler300] I’ve never heard of an axle snapping on any Chrysler with the tapered axle setup, especially just cruising down the highway. I’ll bet there is more to this than is being reported. Looks like at wheel bearing? Might be important info..obviously is…. John From: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Don Warnaar 300country@xxxxxxx [Chrysler300] Looks like Club Members Noel Hastalis and Don Verity came through again, and did it in a very quick and efficient manner when timing was of the essence. Congratulations to Don and Noel, two true 300 nuts. Another example of the helpfulness of the members of dear old Club. Don Warnaar
