Fern, is this the show you were referring to? That's a rerun from at least a year ago. Rusted Development is the second kick at the can after the unsuccessful first season of Lords of the Car Hoards starring Chuck Palumbo and Rick Dore. The format of the show is the same, only the shows title seems to have changed. Its hard to watch with all the obvious and usual stunts to sensationalize an otherwise boring (to most viewers) process of building a custom car. (The windshield demolishing was ridiculous...who puts a windshield on a stand in an open parking lot)

Rick Dore has built some noteworthy customs but I'm baffled he didn't have any real knowledge of what the 'D' was either. So sick of watching these fake reality shows that have such potential be dumbed down and twisted into another mind numbing regurgitation of the last failed series. Has anyone watched Graveyard Cars? What a bunch of imbeciles they are portrayed to be.... If they would just focus on the cars and the process, they would probably see some success both in the program and their business.

I feel like I'm rambling, better get back to the TV......

The 300-D episode aired on Velocity (here in the U.S.) last night, on a program called "Rusted Development." I missed the first ten minutes or so of the program, but painfully sat through the rest of it. Good news is the drivetrain was retained, and the motor rebuilt. The engine rebuild appeared to be done correctly at an outsourced engine rebuilding shop. The shop that did the resto work was clearly clueless about this car - calling it a '399 cubic inch Hemi' putting our 'about 320 HP.' Funky chrome wheels were added. They were griping about paying $1,000 for a correct replacement windshield, and then their shop manager proceeded to run over it with a lift truck. They then sourced another windshield for $1,500. I got tired of hearing how difficult Chrysler cars are to restore - which I'm sure is true for those who haven't done so before.

I looked through our new 2017 Member Roster, and did not see the owners' names listed. The owners' supposedly have 500 or so cars sitting out on their property in a desert location, but I don't know where. I got the impression that this D was the owners' only Letter Car.
