Gary Goers’ Catalog is available online at: http://www.garygoers.com/products.html Item 187 on Page 31 at: http://www.garygoers.com/cat10B.pdf may be what folks are discussing “Rear Transmount ’62 Chrysler”. Otherwise, not many mechanical parts in his catalog. He does focus on interiors but does also list a lot of suspension rubber parts. I’ve not heard from or about Gary for a while and will try to contact him. Rich Barber Brentwood, CA From: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of 'John Grady' jkg@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [Chrysler300] Exactly right, Richard ! It raises it up maybe ½” or a little less if in there. (mine was flattened out) But with it all apart, seeing how it works, tail of trans can move off center side to side too, if rubber not there ; weight of trans seems to compress spring about ½’ too . (good to know that) Maybe other F’s I had seen in past was already missing this piece? Why I never noticed that. But I have noticed that center bolt hanging down. Would transmit vibration to frame and cause a rattle? And allow U joint to decenter , side to side . __._,_.___ Posted by: "Rich Barber" <c300@xxxxxxx> To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to bob@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or go to https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/all/manage/edit For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/search.htm#querylang __,_._,___ |
