It is not unusual for valuable parts to “disappear” from shops. Photographing inside and out with the shop owner in the picture can reduce this unfortunate situation. Chrome shops, also. Whole cars have been known to disappear. I have information from 2006 and 2014 sales where the car had the original carbs still on it and the 2006 listing mentions that the original wheel covers came with it. I wonder where along the way the car lost these parts.
