I tend to agree. I just went thru a similar
issue. I'm up in Washington state about 20 miles from the Canadian border.
My G's transmission was toast. Luckily I found a transmission repair
company that hs been in business since 1952. They are familiar with the cast
iron torque flite from 1959-61. They were able to source parts from JC
Auto (Jeff Carter) in Lynnwood. My repair bill is going to be expensive
but the flip side is that it will (hopefully) be done right. I just wish
Don Verity was closer.
