Solved that issue (for awhile) by soaking the tracks et all with wd40. Finally got moving freely. By the time I had it judged 2 years later and never changing position locked again. Worth a try if you have the seat mechanism out of the car.

Folks, power seat motors were dragging, then stopped.  Yes, yellow foam a partial cause. Legendary redoing the foam in my home state of NY.  Is there a source for new PS motors (2) for my 4 way seat?
