I captured this breakdown from some forgotten source:

• Platinum         1,177
• Formal               289
• Tango Red         247
• Jade Green            1
• Embassy Gray       1    
• Canyon Tan           1
• Unknown/Special 9
• Total               1,725

 

I look forward to confirmation or correction. 

 

The last published “INT” registry showed (approximately) 57 Black, 44 Red in a total of 321, including those junked.  Several of the non-standard color cars were listed.  The list has grown since then.

How many Tango Red 300’s were built in 1955?  Anyone know the overall breakdown of production by color?
