He said “if the car does not sell” --the way the sentence is written, means they do not chase you if it fails to go but you  buy it later. I have heard but do not know that E bay tries hard to prevent that off site transaction after an auction. . I love the 2 minute BAT reset, I did not know that. Lack of that is a big negative on E bay .Trolls place a bid 5$ more than you in last 10 sec. Has happened to me.

BAT does charge fees.  It is a percentage of the selling price up to $5000.  That fee is currently well over a $1000.

I think the car is incredibly cheap right now. It should do close to $50.

 

Couple of recommendations to help you out, number one; click the contact seller and send them a note telling them you might be interested in it and ask any questions you might have about it.  

 

Number 2:  bid on the car, as a high bidder, if the car doesn’t sell, you’re entitled to negotiate with the seller and Bring A Trailor does not charge fees.

 

It really is a fantastic auction platform, one of the best in the business live or otherwise.

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy the car directly before the auction ends and what the buy it now price is?

 

I am also looking for a cheap 1960 Windsor in the East coast area. I need the body parts for renovation of my other cars, so this must be useable and it must be able to drive onto a transporter and later into a container.
