And, on Two engines ,only , or a single rebuild..not sure which, on Jerry ..but indicates how often rebuilds really are needed. Most of the time just ring seal problems from sitting or incompetent tune, or normal wear part needs ervice, lead to “it needs to be rebuilt” from the “expert” . I feel strongly about that..Get it running right and drive 500 miles at 85, problems gone ; yes even smoking oil burners. Not true of GM with no real oil guides, Chev V8 has just holes drilled in the cast iron . I remember talking to Jerry(or was it Gerry) ,about ? I think once his fuel pump drive rod wore down (common on early B block) ; much mayhem and opinions --all wrong. New rod fixed it. He was smiling as he talked about that…he had K from new..
