Hi Allan, When dropping the pan, I always jacked the engine up before unbolting the pan. Lifting it about the width of a 2”x 4”. Then very easy to remove the oil pan. I have not done it on a 1964 Chrysler, but have done it many times on our 1957 300C. Then I put wooden blocks between the frame mounts and the engine mounts. May be this outline was written for another Chrysler! I cannot get the pan to rotate to remove as directed. I do have the crank positioned. The pan is jammed with no more room for rotation. I cannot see how the manual directions are possible. Am I missing something? It appears that I will have to lift the engine. Possible drop the trans down at the same time. Any advice? sludge covered Al [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ Posted by: <chesnutt@xxxxxxxxxxxx> ------------------------------------ To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to bob@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or go to https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/all/manage/edit For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/search.htm#querylang ------------------------------------ Yahoo Groups Links <*> To visit your group on the web, go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Chrysler300/ <*> Your email settings: Individual Email | Traditional <*> To change settings online go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Chrysler300/join (Yahoo!
