Hi Is it the same for 1960? Thanks Allan From: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of 'Bob Merritt' bob@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx [Chrysler300] We have a video on replacing the convert top motor in a 62. It goes into more detail than what you need to answer your question about refill but still could be worth watching. Regarding the working fluid, I have seen brake fluid used as late as 1964. In my opinion atf or any hydraulic pump oil is better. I dislike brake fluid for its corrosive properties but that is what the factory used back then. The convert top mechanism is not a high stress - high temp system so any hydraulic fluid will work.....atf, power steering, hyd jack oil. They are all way more than what you need. The problems I've encountered with convert top systems are most often seized pump motors, now and then a leak in the hyd cylinder.
