Does anyone know whats correct as far as the SEAL for the Rear Bumper ?
I have a piece that's shaped and short enough to just be attached to the body with clips at the center of the bumper. Not having it right here with me, it's about 2 feet long.
When I looked at the Mark Knutsen's 300G Disassembly photos I see the same piece and it's short just like the piece that I have.
I also have a SEAL from a 1961 New Yorker and it is long enough to go the full width of the rear bumper. There are holes , with original clips, every 6" to 8 ". I do not have the New Yorker to look for the mounting holes.
If the short SEAL on the G is correct and the long SEAL on the New Yorker is correct.....why would they be different?
Also, looking at the G there are no holes to the left and right of the center to accept the clips.
When you look in the parts book the picture shows a long seal that would go from end to end.
