Hello Dennis,

A few 300-Cs came out with 120 mph speedos, as the factory didn't have the 150 mph units available to install. And I don't think these were correlated to the single-headlight cars. 

Note that s/n -001, that Mike McCandless purchased in AZ this past January, has a unique 140 mph speedo. Must have been a pre-production unit.

I do believe my 300C is completely original and it has a 150 MPH speedometer.
