Yes, I saw that too! (I was very disappointed I wasn't logged on to BID on it! BUT you have to see these in person!)

I immediately began texting Noel H. about this very car and he looked at detailed photos and saw many flaws... my curiosity was still PEAKED so I dutifully went to the Auction Park the very next day and I got pictures of the VIN Tag AND BODY Tag as well; Noel forwarded on Mark O. and time will tell what the "Story/History" is on this car. (It WAS a Special Order '999/ Code Car; IF the Trim Tag wasn't taken off another car..} .Interior WAS incorrect but it looked to be a very nice driver at least; I told Noel for the $ i still would've been tempted maybe to buy it; LOL!  But we will see what the numbers produce about it. HOPE it went to a good home: I tried to leave a 300 Club App on the seat after it SOLD but sometimes Mecum staff trashes all that stuff!

I saw that auction on Thursday night and the auction red car looked good, but there must have been problems with it or it would have gone on the block on Friday night or Saturday. The interior did not look correct for one problem, It had rams on it but they did not show an engine closeup.

Just saw that a nice red 300G hammered for only $32,500 at Mecum in Indy this week. Even the damn Smoky and the Bandit T/A’s we’re pulling in more than that. Sad times.
