On our ’64 300K, it appears this boxed-in area is to provide room for the 2 ¼” flex hose from the heater box to the RH “spot cooler”. I’m wondering if that “spot cooler” is present on all ‘64’s or just those with A/C. If there was no “spot cooler”, perhaps the glove compartment box would be full size and become a “gloveS” box and eliminate the need for the little clip. I don’t see any decal or clip on our ’64 glove (singular) box. but it would enable of the small space in front of the box. Perhaps a 300F is the same ? I know that the 62 Chryslers are different. Thanks and have a great day !!
