Thanks Carl. In doing a closer inspection on the check valve it appears that is has been replaced at some point. The check valve has Bendix with a part number 379928. From what I can find this crosses over to Mopar 207934 which is for A body line according to the parts book. The valve stills seems to be functioning (just faded and a bit brittle) but I wonder if there is an impact to the proper operation. Especially since the K has a different part number. Also thanks Bob for making the correction to the Newsletter! Mike Cortel On Saturday, August 8, 2020, 07:47:01 PM EDT, Carl <cbilter@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: Ram K same as the J. Dorman 80190 will not fit. Original check valve and booster inlet is 3/8” as you state. Vacuum hose to booster is 3/8” i.d. I had to reuse the original check valve. Hi to all I had the remote brake Booster rebuilt and I am in the process of re installing. It only makes sense to also replace the vacuum line and check valve from the manifold as I can only guess how old they are. Original? In reviewing past club news letters I ran across a tech article in Newsletter #20 from 2015. It is stated that a Dorman #80190 can be used in place of the original check valve and shows the 1/2 inch side of the check valve for the line going to the booster. So I purchase the valve and 6 ft of 1/2 line without double checking what I took off. Now that I am out trying to get this all together it looks like the original check valve stems (both of them) and the booster inlet is 3/8. The article did not mention having to do any modifica tions. The only original hose that is 1/2 inch at the booster is the hose to the filter under the battery tray. Has anyone else had to replace the check valve? If so what did you use?
