The 405hp short ram setup was a dealer installed option. Richard Rigoli has/had a white H with the short ram setup. Jim Kramer has a ‘62 300 short ram Sport that was raced by (I think) Bud Faubel and that Jim restored. Jim may also know where the Hot Rod/Ray Brock car is (if it still exists). If I recall, the car ran a 12.88.

In 1962 Hot Rod magazine ran a 1962 300 coupe with cross rams and beat everyone except when Ray Block was sent to cover the Daytona 500 and someone else drove his 30 and lost to a 62’ Pontiac. Is that car still around? Also, I have an extra 3259s carburetor, but someone stripped it of some parts including the choke assembly, choke shaft, choke flap, choke linkage for high idol, and four meter rods. If I can rebuilt it for future needs down the road or help someone that needs a 3259s. Did any make it to the civilian world? Has anyone converted a “standard” 300-B engine to the 355 HP spec’s? I recall that the 355’s had a higher compression ratio (11:1 ?). Different cam? Pistons, ignition? Anything else? Noted on the Car Record Cards? Rich Barber Brentwood CA c300@xxxxxxx
