Nick, Does the car have a title, and/or does he know the VIN number? Is it in his name? If not, its going to be very difficult to get a title. He’s going to have to prove ownership somehow, and without a VIN number or tag, its real tough. There are stampings on the car body that show the SO number, and that should match the SO on the code plate, but the VIN is not stamped anywhere on a 300G except the VIN plate. If he knows the VIN # and he has the code plate, he can possibly get the birth records through the club. Most states will be able to create a new VIN if there is adequate proof of ownership, but it won’t match the original VIN in appearance or number. AG Backeast (Google it) can make VIN tags, but they will require rock solid proof. At best, he may just have a parts car there, and if it’s really rusty, it may be best to part it out. I suspect the car came from a wrecking yard and/or was stolen at some point. Bob J From: chrysler-300-club-international@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <chrysler-300-club-international@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> On Behalf Of Nick Taylor I was talking to someone who has a special order color 300G but it's missing the VIN tag. It's a bluish green color originally. I'm pretty sure it has a body tag so can probably get the VIN that way. Or maybe someone already knows the car. It's a rusty project.
