Think about saving/refurbishing the heel plates in the front footwells of the 300K’s. Note the location and find an industrial-grade sewing machine to stitch the pads to the carpet in the proper places. I think the pads may also be stuck to the carpet with adhesive but that would be a rather permanent fix.
