| Who isn’t giving Per credit? I made the very specific comment that if we can get it running with these original parts, it will be the only one. That’s true. If we can’t do that, we will make adjustments.
I never said this car was running. I’m not taking a victory lap in regards to fuel Injection. I swear some people wake up just to be contrary haha.
I’m going to make my best effort at keeping it original. I will probably fail, but at least I will try.

I do however, doubt that it is possible to restore a factory original fuel injected 300D, successfully, with all original parts. For one thing, even the factory was not able to do it with any acceptable level of reliability, so I highly doubt it can now be done with 63 year old parts, even if they were NOS. The capacitors alone (which I have read it contains), age out, and will not last that long and will require new replacements. I’m sure there are other electronic parts that will need replacement or technology updates to get it to run properly.
