I too have the thick felt on my '62's.

I wonder if Quirey is making them?

And...years ago...I bought light shields from Gary Goers.

They were formed cardboard pieces that somehow fit in there to shield the light from escaping the horizontal opening where the indicator lever & temp lever slide in.
