MoPar Carlisle was good weather and not horribly hot as it usually is. The club tent had lots of club members pull up a chair and gab. We had some renewals and 3 new club members join. Tony Rinaldi brought his extremely nice 300F convertible. Charlie Valentine, our tent “boss”, brought his black 300G which is slowly and surely being restored. Allan & Gloria brought the 300F which they’ve owned for 52 years now. John & Madeline Plosilla drove their 300K convertible.
Also with us was Charles Adams with a new silver series 64- sports 300 and it was a fine looking car. We also had a 300C parked with us which is a low mileage almost unmolested car. Across the aisle in the Forward Look section was a C-300 owned by Gilles Beneyton who bought it from a local club member. He redid the engine and paint. Special mention goes to Mick Kreszock whose K damper decided to separate so it went back to NC on the hook while Mick came without it.
Dave Clelland brought his 61 Imperial convertible and took 1st place in his class.
With so few 300s there and our section invaded by some Plymouths which were definitely not in show car condition, the awards were sort of a given. If you were in the correct row (sorry Tony!) you got an award.
Next year’s Carlisle show is July 15 and 16th. For those of you up north, enjoy the Merritt memorable mini-meet. Bob does better than 3M.
