I am in the process of rebuilding my 300, The car was not running well when I bought it and therefor I do not have a feel for the condition of the steering. The wheel has at least 3" of play right to left with the engine out and no power steering pump attached. Should I assume the pump and box need a rebuild or wait until the engine is installed to test.
