I would agree that most if not all Gs had the woven paper as Rick named it - naming backed by a factory document copy I have- and like the photo Nick posted. Important to note the weave is double strands in one direction and single strands in the other. I haven't seen a reproduction that was accurate. George Riehl once suggested speaker cloth as an option. These days  vintage speaker/amplifier restoration is a thing so there are materials available in that market, which might work.
