Just a side note in relation
To heat riser crossover valves.
By 1974 Chrysler eliminated the heat riser valve on 318 LA
Engines. My 74 Charger never
Had one. I have 0 cold start
Issues.

Looking on Amazon I see two choices . They both claim to be good for " Heat Valve Solvent ". I have a can of the AC Delco that I use on mine. 


Genuine Chrysler Accessories 4318039AC Rust Penetrant - 10.8 oz. Aerosol Can - 4318039AD. Cost 15.02 so there you go Rick 10 times the cost and its probably a much bigger can.


ACDelco GM Original Equipment 10-4020 Rust Penetrating Lubricant - VOC Compliant - 12 oz Aerosol. Cost 13.28

You got that right , more common then you think on all

our cars . rusts in the closed position after sitting a few years . there was a special lube for it every few thousand miles back then at oil change .

Very dirty but not rusted. Found cause od bad running complaint as explaned to me, remedy finished. Locked closed heat-riser
