I know, not a specific Letter Car question, but I was over at our Club member Frank Troost’s working on my F today, and his mechanic happened upon a curious attachment bolted to the underside of Frank’s ‘57 NYer TorqueFlite. It appears to be a trans fluid leak drip pan, with an Allen head bolt on the end that actually did allow a little fluid to drain out. See 2nd photo below. It’s an early build - #1057 - placing it in the 1st 6% of ‘57s, judging by our NewsFlite #164 listing.
Anyone ever seen one of these?
