{Chrysler 300} 1964 shift boot trim/floor bezel

Hello to All,

I am currently rebuilding my spare 4 spd trans.     I have Jamie Passons illustrated publication.

I bought this K when He was 6 yrs old.  I figure a stick is a He...

At that time I had several brochures from previous owner, Illustrated posters from the Cushman Burke, Whaling City Motors.

They were stored in a time capsule, called a foot locker.   Old school rules.

The large publication has  fold out section which illustrates new models and options for 1964.

One section shows the standard trans shifter, with a molded round rubber boot and a backwards D trim/bezel plate.

Here is where the other open square bezel is shown, in the 1963 to 1964 Dealers parts manual.

Page 21-6 shows the bezel, boot, shifter lever more.   After 51 years of ownership, I may guess that the square open style is correct.

Also the shift knob is Ivory and not white.

A minor twist figuring how low production does not allow positive results when searching for the correct piece.

Not to be confused with Speed Shops of yesteryear.

I would like to take the guess work out of this equation.

Thanks for any input.

Dave D.
